Based on the company's first half yearly results, Maltsovsky Portlandcement, which is part of the Eurocement Group, produced 1,311,200 tonnes of cement, which is 1.65% more than the same period of last year. The production of clinker increased by 42,700 tonnes or 2.8%.   

Despite the difficult situation with rail transport and increasing competition, the business managed to maintain the previous year's level of cement shipments to customers by increaing deliveries by road. This was achieved by increasing the company's fleet of cement trucks.      

Of the 1,333,316 tonnes of cement delivered to consumers over the past six months, road transport accounted for 185,131 tonnes, 40.7% more than the same period of last year. Moreover, the volume of bagged cement reached 126,767 tonnes, an increase of 32%.        

The company also achieved impressive fuel and energy savings.  In the first six months, the factory reduced the specific energy consumption level by 2.3% against the previous year.
