MosBuild Architectural and Design Awards (MADA)
The awards ceremony of the 1st MosBuild Architecture & Design Awards (MADA) was held on 10 April.
The international architectural competition, which was for students of architecture schools and young architects from around the world, featured two categories:
- Best architectural solution for a barrier-free environment
- Best sustainable architecture project
The winners were:
Best architectural solution for a barrier-free environment:
- Best young architect: Andrzej Leszczynski from Poland with his project for a multifunctional building for blind and partially sighted people
- Best architecture school student: Michal Ganobjak from Slovakia with his project for a building for tourists in the village of Spania Dolina
Best sustainable architecture project:
- Best young architect: VIRAI ARQUITECTOS architectural studio from Spain with the La Grajera winery project
- Best architecture school student: Gracia Romero from Venezuela with her project for a specialised educational centre.
