• It takes two of Moscow's biggest and best venues to accommodate MosBuild. Here is an overview of Expocentr and Crocus Expo.

  It has been a long time since MosBuild could fit into one venue. For many years, Expocentr and Sports Complex Olympisky carried the weight of Russia's biggest trade exhibition. At the same time as Windows & Doors burst out of Olympisky, a brand new large scale, purpose built venue burst on to the Moscow exhibition scene. The decision was taken after the 2004 event to alter the venue arrangements with some exhibitions remaining at Expocentr and others moving to the brand new Crocus Expo.

Crocus Expo is a brand new venue, its doors opened in the spring of 2004. It too is located on the banks of the Moscow River but on the outskirts of the city on the Moscow City Beltway (outer ring road). Its capacity will increase dramatically in 2006 with a new centre being constructed next door to the existing venue. Crocus Expo is part of a complex that is also home to Tvoy Dom (home and interiors mega-store), Crocus City Mall (high class boutique shopping centre) and the Shore House (elite yacht club, restaurant and hotel).

Expocentr and Crocus Expo are deceptively close to each other. Their nearest metro stations are on the same line and separated by only five stops. Driving between the two can take as little as 30 minutes but those who have experienced Moscow traffic will appreciate that on a bad day and any distance could take hours!

MosBuild benefits from free shuttle bus services between the venues and metro stations. This makes sure that visitors who are interested in meeting companies at both venues experience the minimum inconvenience.
