MosBuild, Russia’s leading event dedicated to building and finishing materials, opened today for its 25th anniversary edition.
The show is connecting 1,200 exhibiting companies with an audience of over 65,000 industry professionals. This is the first time MosBuild has taken place at Crocus Expo, an unmatched venue in Russia and Eastern Europe, which will provide better facilities and space for business and networking.
At the event’s opening ceremony this morning, we heard from a roster of ministers and heads of construction associations. Among which was Alexander Smetanov, Deputy of the Moscow City Duma, who said, “MosBuild is a real celebration of marketing; key companies are meeting new clients and presenting their products and latest developments to the industry. We currently have large scale renovations going on in Moscow, improving housing conditions and infrastructure for Muscovites. I am sure that the exhibitors here today will be able to have their materials used in these major projects.”
Following the opening ceremony, the show got underway as thousands of building and interiors professionals filled up Crocus Expo’s halls looking for new partners, materials, and inspiration.
What’s on the agenda? An industry-leading mix of networking, deal-making, knowledge sharing and business across four content rich event days.
This year’s MosBuild exhibition is perfectly adapted to suit the changing needs of Russia’s vibrant building and interiors sector. There are lots of new features for visitors and exhibitors alike to enjoy, such as:
- VR Space by Diana Balashova, which offers a futuristic virtual 3D model where visitors can step inside the space and co-design it by selecting the materials
- Architectural Forum, a programme of four sessions to discuss architectural trends and current issues facing the industry
- Perfect Home, a fully-built 400 sqm house, designed by top Russian designers using materials and products from exhibiting companies
Today began with the DIY Forum’s analytical session on the Russian DIY market by INFOLine, which attracted a huge crowd. Day one of the Forum covered key trends, strategies and market analyses of the DIY market.
The visitors are pleased with the exhibition, with one telling us: “MosBuild is looking a lot richer this year, it seems that there are many different exhibitors and it’s been an interesting day. I’ve noticed that many exhibitors have developed their exhibition strategies and displays compared to last year. I think the new venue is more suitable to MosBuild than where it has been in the past, so it was a good move.”
